We receive a lot of 290/DPE /DPG drives with damages from wrong thrust washer installation . . Here is som info which may be helpful…. The red marked countersink area should be filled with either old style line cutter (big cup style ) or newer type thrust washer (small). For front propeller at right side of photo its similar. Simple as that:) The thrust washer for front propeller may be stick to propeller hub when propeller is removed. if it does you will not recognize the countersink area. If you replace the propeller the thrust washer must be removed and used on new propeller. If front trust washer is missing the drive will get a total brakdown and will be filled with water as the front propeller eats the bearing hub and sealings. For missing rear trust washer the rear propeller will touch the front propeller + damage on propeller hub and drive.
